Venue Spotlight: Curzon Hall (Navarra)

Curzon Hall is an iconic venue in north-west Sydney that exudes timeless elegance. This is a heritage-listed sandstone castle, which is known for its architecture and gardens, and is a magical setting for weddings and special celebrations. This venue holds several versatile spaces which bring sophistication and unforgettable experiences for wedding couples, and guests.

There are 3 beautiful ceremony spaces.

Enchanted Garden

This popular space is perfect for intimate garden ceremonies with a white gazebo, surrounded by lots of intricate greenery and blooming florals. Enchanted Garden feels tucked to the side of the venue, giving a sense of privacy, yet having the heritage-listed castle as the backdrop. The bride can enter the ceremony from around the front of Curzon Hall, walk down the sandstone stairs and towards the gazebo. This space is also popular for fairytale themed celebrations.

The Eternal Garden

The Eternal Garden is located outdoors and alongside the heritage-listed castle. It contains a geometrical criss-cross pattern with a water fountain nearby. This space is surrounded by landscaped greenery, which can provide a natural yet simple backdrop, and also has a keyhole-shaped mosaic border as an entrance to this space. As an open space, the Eternal Garden provides limitless options to accommodate for different types of ceremonies, including cultural ceremonies.

Garden Chateau

The most popular ceremony space by wedding couples, Garden Chateau is known for its Romanesque sandstone columns and Baroque wrought iron canopy, which can be beautifully decorated by full-length draping and florals. This largely opened space is located at the front of Curzon Hall, where the wedding party can arrive to this ceremony in a carriage with horses and walk along the sandstone paved aisle towards the ceremony area, making this space truly magical and a fairytale wedding dream. The bride can also enter this space from the Curzon Room nearby and walk down a small set of sandstone stairs.

The ceremony at Curzon Hall can smoothly transition to the reception afterwards, with several spaces to decide on.

Curzon Room

Curzon Room provides a charming setting for intimate celebrations, including wedding receptions, and even as a canape area for another reception space. It contains crystal chandeliers, large arched windows, antique fireplace and ornate embellishments, giving a cozy atmosphere. The Curzon Hall also has French doors which open to a covered terrace, which looks over the gardens, including the Garden Chateau and Lady Mary’s Pavilion event room closeby.

Lady Mary’s Pavilion

Lady Mary’s Pavilion at Curzon Hall is the largest yet magnificent ballroom, which is ideal for large events and lavish wedding receptions. It contains high ceilings, sparkling chandeliers, and floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing natural light to enter the space during the day and beautiful night-views of the gardens and the castle when lit up at night. Lady Mary’s Pavilion can be partitioned to 2 spaces (Sabrina’s View and Sir Philip’s Lounge) for smaller events and wedding receptions.

Sir Joseph’s Terrace

Venue spaces as Lady Mary’s Pavilion, or Sabrina’s View and/or Sir Philip’s Lounge have access to Sir Joseph’s Terrace as a canape venue space for guests before entering the wedding reception spaces indoors. Despite being an open space, Sir Joseph’s Terrace contains sandstone borders (which can be used as bench seats), surrounded by olive trees and more grand views of the castle.

Agincourt Room

Agincourt Room is the only space at Curzon Hall which is located upstairs with no lift access (as it is a heritage-listed castle). However, it has sophisticated details that makes this room elegant, including chandeliers, large-arched windows, antique fireplaces and exclusive access to the front portico balcony and terraces that wrap around Agincourt Room. Having significant balcony space and terraces allow more room for guests to move outside, but also have views overlooking the castle.

The Grand Banquet Room

This is the second largest space in Curzon Hall (located on ground level). However the Grand Banquet Room was previously a church, but now renovated to become a high-ceiling venue space with lots of embellishments and intricate detail - still maintaining its church structure. This provides a magnificent and majestic atmosphere as guests enter this space (curtained off from the smaller space adjacent to the Grand Banquet Room as canape and bar area).
