Yeesan and Johnson’s seamless wedding in South-West Sydney
From Yeesan completing and submitting her enquiry via my website, it was the get-go and a no-brainer when Yeesan and Johnson decided to book me as their wedding coordinator for their special day.
Over a period of 3 months, we worked closely together through monthly consultations and numerous emails. Together, we:
Had virtual consultations with suppliers, including photographer (and videographer), celebrant/MC and florist
Confirmed all details with each supplier, including items and when to arrive
Finalised floor plans and the full wedding schedule (even before the civil ceremony when I was not present), before sending a copy to all suppliers involved.
The wedding day started with an Asian tea ceremony at Yeesan’s place, followed by another tea ceremony at Johnson’s place. By mid-morning, as Johnson and his groomsmen had morning tea at his place, Yeesan and her bridesmaids went to William Inglis to have hair and make-up touch ups, relax and have morning tea, while looking over the Rose Garden.
Despite the weather being grey and gradually started to rain, it didn’t stop Yeesan and Johnson getting married at the Rose Garden. The guests arrived early, but they mingled with other guests and refreshed themselves with either lychee fruit tea with lychee jelly or premium milk tea with pearls for at least an hour.
The civil ceremony lasted about 25 minutes, where the celebrant Jak retold memories of Johnson and Yeesan and approximately 100 guests witnessed Yeesan and Johnson officially becoming husband and wife. The Rose Garden was filled with instrumental music by Vicello Strings. After having photos with families and friends at the Rose Garden, the bridal party continued with more photos in the Stables at William Inglis and at the Boatshed in Chipping Norton.
The wedding celebrations continued at Crystal Palace in Canley Heights. Yeesan, Johnson and their bridal party were able to have time to relax, have another touch-up of makeup and hair and even practise their bridal entrance.
When the guests arrived for the reception, Yeesan and Johnson were able to have intimate photos with guests at the white stage before the guests found their seats. The party really started when the bridal entrance began, followed by cake cutting and a 12-course banquet. With the lion dancing performance, bridal dance, and bouquet toss, the night followed with the lights down, lots of dancing on the dancefloor and the photobooth being a big hit.
My favourite memory of Yeesan and Johnson’s wedding day was having a bubble tea barista. Yeesan, Johnson and I enjoy bubble tea, so it was a great idea to show their personality as part of their special day. Having a barista on site to prepare bubble tea makes the event more unique!
On the day, Yeesan and Johnson were able to follow the schedule and have moments where they can enjoy themselves instead of running around and needing to be at several places at one time. Having a wedding coordinator alleviated the stress so that Yeesan and Johnson lived in the present and had fun!
